So obviously written by a man, not enjoyable at all。

honestly? pretty wordy。 kinda problematic。 no clear story line。 was it fiction? nonfiction? really hard to tell。 has some rly pretty poems! would recommend song of songs though! very smutty🤩

Kora Jones

Could be gayer and should be。 Bit long winded, loved the betrayal subplot however at times it appears to have plot holes dotted throughout。 Not an easy read , 3/10 wouldn’t highly recommend and definitely shouldn’t have as big as a fandom as it does in my opinion。

charvi

too long。 needs more gay。

ADarkerShadeOfShrek

A perfect example of a book where the antagonist is way more interesting than the hero

Jacob Wood

One of the greatest books on earth when it comes to detailed storytelling and visceral metaphors。 The biggest downside is whenever there is the mention of family hierarchies and lineage。 X was the son of Y。 Y the son of Z etc。

Freya Martin

idk dude, not enough representation, there’s this one guy who lives in the sky and created shit and then he had a son with a virgin? the son was cool but why does everyone think he was white?! it wasn’t very believable and very clearly set in a fantasy world

Mary

I’m very confused about all the people saying that it’s not gay enough。 Did we not read the same book? Jesus has 12 boyfriends and at one point they were all washing each other’s feet naked。 That’s pretty gay ngl。 There are some super problematic parts that make this unenjoyable though。 What’s with all the stoning woman to death?!? All the hate of women in gay books is so problematic smh。 Also genocide? Slavery? Filicide? ALSO YOU KILLED OFF THE MAIN CHARACTER WITHOUT WARNING?? THAT WAS BS!! Worst work of fiction I ever read。 Did the author even try? I mean is the "main character" the protagonist or the antagonist or both?He goes from hero to heathen in less time it takes to bake bread。 Seriously, one minute he is all healing the sick and disabled and turning water into wine the next he is cursing the villagers he calls "Sinners" (RUDE!) and sending a flood to kill everyone because what? He's PMSing?? (Seriously dude, eat a Snickers。 You're not you when you're hungry。)Also, why you Worst work of fiction I ever read。 Did the author even try? Okay narcissistic much? Also what's the deal with planting seeds in the same field and mixing fabrics? Who thinks up this stuff? Honestly, I can not recommend this book LESS。 So much more to go on but I stan by my words when I tell you it'll cause you trauma。 (And lolololol people in the world think this book is REAL?? Damn。 Maybe I need to Wingardium Leviosa their asses to a vacation because they do be trying REAL hard to believe。 Lol。) 。。。more

For the most part a history of human error。 On the other hand there are slices of indisputable common sense。 "It's not what you put in your mouth that makes you bad, it is what comes out of it。" The Ten Commandments take some beating for pure common sense。 Don't kill, don't lie, and so on。 The story of "those who have never sinned shall cast the first stone" would be sufficient for founding a religion alone, and in fact is, methinks, as pertinent today as it was then。 The Garden of Eden story ca For the most part a history of human error。 On the other hand there are slices of indisputable common sense。 "It's not what you put in your mouth that makes you bad, it is what comes out of it。" The Ten Commandments take some beating for pure common sense。 Don't kill, don't lie, and so on。 The story of "those who have never sinned shall cast the first stone" would be sufficient for founding a religion alone, and in fact is, methinks, as pertinent today as it was then。 The Garden of Eden story can be taken as an explanatory metaphor。 There you go! I am a writer covering religious affairs and I refuse to not exercise a bit of humour, thus。 Adam and Eve get kicked out of the Garden。 Adam is pretty well lost。 Eve suddenly gets a bad conscience and envisions a future of misery stretching before her and all of her sisters (which in fact has taken place because women still get a bad deal in life)。 She weeps, God notices and consoles her with: "Don't worry my dear, he would have eaten the apple, anyway。" Another one goes like this。 God said "be fruitful and multiply" and was pleased to notice a couple doing just that, so he decided to reward them with a sensational feeling during and at the culmination of the act。 It was His bonus。 We turned the bonus into the main event - which then engendered advertising。 Of course this is a terrifying book。 But Jesus did mean well, He truly cared - and we should remember that it was mostly the religious people of His day who wanted Him dead。 This was because He was against the mumbo-jumbo that prevails to this day。 Check the story of Jesus being horrified at the people who would not save a trapped animal because it was the sabbath。 One can rightfully cut out the slaughter, the blood and gore - the awfulness of humankind - and see that Jesus was against it all - just like any other humanist。 He got crucified because He told it like it is。 。。。more

Totally recommend this read!! Definitely prepare yourself for a sad ending tho。 I have been in tears for days now,,, what a total surprise i didn’t see that plot twist coming。 This book had great representation!! A diverse cast of characters。 And making the main character a polyarmorous gay man?? Iconic。 Personally I really related to the character of virgin Mary!! so underrated All in all so many memorable moments (like Jesus healing that blind man,,, i had goosebumps all over!!) and so many ic Totally recommend this read!! Truly devastating! My favorite POC character died during this book and white europeans claimed him as white to spread white supremacy and justify racism and homophobia! …。 also why wasn't it a gay story, I felt a lot of tension between Jesus and the disciples…。 wattpad do your thing。 Truly devastating! There definitely could've been more gay people, but I am a huge Jesus x Judas shipper, but they're all severely sus。 But it's terrible that they killed off the main character, especially since he was so relevant to the plot, I almost started crying, but I saw it coming from the beginning, the author did a lot of foreshadowing beforehand。 There definitely could've been more gay people, but I am a huge Jesus x Judas shipper, but they're all severely sus。 But it's terrible that they killed off the main character, especially since he was so relevant to the plot, I almost started crying, but I saw it coming from the beginning, the author did a lot of foreshadowing beforehand。 。。。more
